The good news for actress Felicity Huffman is she was released three days early from her 14-day jail sentence on Friday. The bad news is the satirical comedy team at Forever Dog will release a podcast Tuesday (Oct. 29) that will offer its take on what Huffman’s time behind bars was like.

The satirical comedy podcast 14 Days with Felicity will publish one 10-15 minute episode per day over the course of two weeks, each dedicated to a fictional day-in-the-life behind bars for the “Desperate Housewives” star. Huffman was sentenced to the jail time for her role in a college admissions cheating scandal. Forever Dog says each episode will follow her two weeks behind bars via the cell phone she smuggled into prison with her, calling the podcast a “car crash in audio form.”

“This project is a perfect storm of hilarious creatives, innovative production labels and highly unique ideas,” said Forever Dog co-founders Alex Ramsey, Brett Boham and Joe Cilio in a joint statement. “We’re ecstatic to partner with such a dynamic and inventive group of individuals to host this new show, which we know will captivate the loyal Forever Dog audience and new listeners alike.”

The script in the fictional series was written by comedians Connor Wright and Christina Friel. It stars actress Heléne Yorke as Huffman with a cast that also includes actors Jordan Klepper, Rachel Sennott, Ayo Edebiri, Josh Sharp, and Aaron Jackson. The podcast is co-produced by the podcast production company At Will Media and Animal Kingdom, which is best known for its indie film work.

“We are proud to be working alongside such a talented group of individuals — we have admired the work of Animal Kingdom for some time, and to have them make their entrance into the podcast space with us is an incredible honor,” said Will Media CEO Will Malnati in the announcement.

“Animal Kingdom is thrilled to be moving into the audio space, and we are so excited that our first project got to be with this wildly talented, entirely hilarious crew,” added Animal Kingdom founders Joshua Astrachan and David Kaplan in a joint statement. “From our partners, At Will Media and Forever Dog, to the genius writers behind this thing, Connor Wright and Christina Friel, this whole project has been way too much fun. Our cast, led by the brilliant Heléne Yorke and Jordan Klepper, absolutely knocked it out of the park, and we can’t wait for the world to hear this.”
