Ad Results Media, the Houston advertising and marketing agency, is one of podcasting’s biggest champions among advertising and marketing circles. Now it’s getting a vote of confidence of its own. Shamrock Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, has made an investment in Ad Results Media with its podcasting focus part of what attracted the investors.
“The five partners at Ad Results Media have built an impressive business, establishing the company as the industry leader in an exciting and transformative space,” said Shamrock Capital Partner Alan Resnikoff. “Through our other investments, we have experienced firsthand the efficacy of podcast advertising in acquiring new customers and only expect this channel to grow as more and more consumers discover and engage with the podcasting medium.”
Terms of the transaction were not made public. Ad Results Media CEO Marshall Williams said Shamrock Capital is the “perfect partner” because of its longstanding presence in the media and entertainment industries. “We’re excited to collaborate with Shamrock as we continue to invest in technology and services geared toward producing the best results for our clients and partners,” said Williams.
They money will further expand Ad Results Media’s growth in services and technology advancements. This includes building upon the company’s production studio for voiced ad recordings launched earlier this year and the development of their proprietary data, analytics, ad grading, trafficking, and ad quality assurance platforms.
For the past two decades Ad Results Media has been focused on audio, most notably with its host-read endorsement ads. As podcast took off, it took the format to the on-demand world where host-read ads are even more common. “One of the great things about this style of content is there’s so many niche components to it that are just great for individual clients,” Marshall said in an interview with Inside Radio two years ago.
