…She Podcasts Live has announced that the podcast hosting and advertising platform Libsyn will be the presenting sponsor for its annual conference, which this year has the theme “together we rebuild.” After the pandemic sidelined the event last year, She Podcasts Live returns for an in-person and virtual hybrid conference this week. It is a gathering of women and non-binary podcasters whose focus is on supporting, educating, and inspiring one another. …Actor Michael Imperioli, best known for his role on HBO’s “The Sopranos” television series, is expanding his podcast work. Imperioli will host and serve as executive producer for a new series about author and beat generation icon Jack Kerouac. The series called Kerouac and Me, is the creation of authors Dave Wedge and Casey Sherman, who have secured the blessing of the Jack Kerouac Estate. “Jack Kerouac changed my life,” Imperioli told Deadline. He already co-hosts the Talking Sopranos podcast with actor Steve Schirripa.
…Targetspot is expanding its programmatic ad tech into the French-speaking podcast segment including in France and Quebec, Canada as well as Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and parts of Africa. The company says it will now sell podcast ads both through direct sales and programmatic platforms across 30 targeted contextual categories, including entertainment, culture, health, fiction, information, economics, business, and sports. “The Targetspot Podcast Marketplace proposal allows our publishers to benefit from significant revenue in France and in the francophone zones, as well as to participate, with them, in the creation of new content and new audiences,” said Alexandre Vekhoff, EVP of Global Business Development.
