...Joe Rogan says he has now tested negative for CVOID-19. “Tested negative today! Thanks for all the kind wishes,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Friday. The host of The Joe Rogan Experience announced last week that he had COVID and was undergoing a series of treatments to combat it. That included ivermectin, a horse deworming drug. ...Magellan AI is making its first move beyond the English-language podcast marketplace to track shows in the German-speaking world. It is teaming with the Cologne-based Ad Alliance to track more than 100 podcasts in the German-language market. “We’ve proven how valuable these tools can be for advertisers, agencies, and publishers in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, and Canada. This expansion into the German-language podcast advertising market will help drive the industry forward,” says CEO Cameron Hendrix. Ad Alliance sells ads for clients including Wondery. A third of all Germans now regularly listen to podcasts, and advertising expenditure has grown 220% in the past year.

...Acast may be spending more time working with podcasters overseas, including in the U.S., but it is showing its home country Sweden some love with a new podcast competition to find new and aspiring talent. Acast has created the podcast competition Poddnästet that will give the winner an entire podcast season produced and marketed – a package worth about $30,000. “There’s still an incredible amount of unexplored territory in Sweden for creators to take advantage of,” said Content Director Frida Klevemark. The entry deadline is Oct. 29. See more details HERE.
