Nearly two dozen podcasts are featured on Accessmore, the new streaming app being launched by Educational Media Foundation. The platform will include streaming channels of its contemporary Christian radio networks “K-Love” and “Air1” as well as dedicated stream of related formats including “K-Love Classics” and a pair of Christmas music streams tied to each brand. The app will also feature a library of faith-based on-demand shows.
The podcasts include on-demand versions of the network’s radio hosts like the “K-Love” morning team of Skip Mahaffey and Amy Baumann and the “Air1” afternoon team of Mike Shaeffer and Lauren Lee. But there are also shows that are just podcasts, like the woman-focused Heroes For Her, the Solo Parent Society, and the business and career show Blue Sky Breakthrough. EMF says it plans to launch additional podcasts in genres including Religion & Spirituality, Science, Society & Culture, Music, Kids & Family, and Business.
“As podcasting continues to explode, I’m excited that we can increase the offering of faith-based content,” Rahny Taylor, Director of Accessmore, said in a press release. “The goal of this ever-expanding platform is to give listeners a place to accessmore on themes that interest, grow and entertain.”
Accessmore has soft launched with the release of its app for both Apple and Android phones as well as a dedicated website.
“Since joining EMF last year, we’ve been developing opportunities in new media to reach more people with quality, faith-based content,” said CEO Bill Reeves. “We were already among the top 10 U.S.-based audio streaming companies. Accessmore is the next major step into that burgeoning segment.”
