The business podcast-focused PodCo Media Networks has struck a deal of its own to acquire the Chicago-based Diecast Studios. The deal gives PodCo an in-house team of web designers, developers and creators as it ramps up its audio business. Terms of the deal were not released. Diecast CEO Chris Rajki will join PodCo.
"Chris built a great creative operation, and we're thrilled to add those capabilities to our management team,” PodCo CEO Mark Reed-Edwards said. “His unique mix of technology operations, branding and product development expertise enhances PodCo's value proposition for both hosts and custom podcast clients."
The marketing consulting firm Reed-Edwards Global launched PodCo Media Network in August with four shows under its umbrella and plans to expand to 30 podcasts during the next 18 months on topics such as opportunity zones, AI, financial wellness, legal cannabis, the art world, Latin American entrepreneurship, corporate training, travel, and sustainability, to name a few. PMN is also actively soliciting branded content as well with its Podcast on a Platter platform that it says offers a turnkey solution for business experts who want to launch a podcast but don’t have the knowhow or technology to do so.
Reed-Edwards and Garnet Heraman are co-founders of PMN. The two men already host The Innovation Podcast together. Reed-Edwards is also the host of the Confessions of a Marketer podcast. Both shows lead the launch of the network. It also includes the My First Job and Demystifying Data podcasts.
