The more places to find a podcast means more work getting the shows posted on all those platforms. Or does it? A new Spreaker update aims to take the pain out of publishing by allowing podcasters to distribute their show to all the big platforms—Apple Podcasts, Castbox, iHeartRadio, Google Podcasts and Spotify—with just a single click.
To achieve the one-click distribution, Spreaker redesigned its CMS distribution tools so producers just need to select their preferred platforms for where they want to share a show. That removes some, but not all, of the headaches over the different submission requirements used by each platform.
“If you previously had an easy way for submitting to Spotify or iHeartRadio, with one-click distribution we’ve opened up the doors for you,” the company tells podcasters in an announcement. “We wanted to give you a podcast directory which clearly presents all your options, without the need to visit individual platform pages or outsource your podcast distribution.”
Spreaker also notes Apple Podcasts has crossed 50 billion downloads and Spotify is gaining share in the market. “Your show needs to be on these platforms,” the company tells producers, adding, “Once a podcast is available on Apple Podcasts it automatically becomes available on other listening platforms such as Breaker, Pocket Casts, Overcast and more.”
