After 22 years at ABC News, Andrew Kalb says as part of a restructuring led by a new management team he has left the network. Kalb was most recently executive producer of the daily morning podcast Start Here. There’s no immediate word on who will now be in charge of the show. Start Here is the podcast which earlier this month won ABC News a 2019 National Murrow Award for Excellence in Innovation.
“It has been an honor to lead a talented team of broadcast and digital journalists and story tellers, and to successfully re-launch the ABC News Radio business, which now serves over 1,650 radio stations,” Kalb wrote in an email. “Along the way, I have served our affiliates in partnership and with pride, understanding that all success is the result of teamwork and collaboration.”
