A diverse group of guests, including artists, politicians, amateur kickboxers, and mothers, will be featured in the first season of The Women, a new show from the iHeartPodcast Network that will share the inspirational stories of 26 women. “On The Women, we want to find out what was her first stand. How does she navigate success and failure and what are the costs of fighting for others,” said host Rose Reid, the show’s host and creator, on the podcast’s trailer.

In episode one, Reid speaks with Valerie Plame, a former CIA agent, who is now running for congress in New Mexico. Future guests include scientist and whistleblower Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, filmmaker Dr. Beena Sarwar, writer Yassmin Abdel-Magied, journalist Ronja von Rönne, Susan G. Komen Foundation founder Nancy Brinker, and singer-songwriter Buffy Sainte-Marie.

Reid began her project of interviewing women around the world as a student at Oberlin College. She is also the founder of the podcast consultancy Arc Creative. She previously worked as a podcast producer for Gimlet Media and Ogilvy & Mather. Reid’s past work has included work with brands such as IBM, Dean & DeLuca, Tidal, EY and Coca-Cola.
