Former Trump administration advisor Steve Bannon is returning to his roots. The former Breitbart News head this week launched a new radio show and podcast designed to defend the President against a growing impeachment effort in Congress. Politico reports War Room: Impeachment launches on a half dozen talk radio stations in Virginia, North Carolina and Florida with affiliates in other cities in the works.
The one-hour show will be released each morning as a podcast, followed by a broadcast on the radio stations at 9am. The show will be co-hosted by former Trump campaign communications director Jason Miller and former Breitbart London bureau chief Raheem Kassam. On the premiere episode Bannon pledged he’d produce the podcast and radio show until the day after the Senate acquits President Trump of any wrongdoing. “This is a mortal threat to Trump’s presidency,” Bannon told Politico. It’s a return to radio for Bannon, who previously hosted a show on SiriusXM Radio when he was at Breitbart.
Bannon is working with the John Fredericks Radio Network, the unwired network created by Fredericks to distribute his daily conservative talk radio show. Fredericks also just filed to buy “News Talk 100.5” WJFN in the Richmond, VA market under the MAGA Radio Network banner.
