The Bravo reality TV series-focused Watch What Crappens is the latest podcast to test out Spotify’s Greenroom live audio service Greenroom. It will have a weekly show called “Take A Seat” that will feature the podcast’s hosts talking about their usual mix of celebrities, trends and reality TV. The twist is halfway into their show, they will invite virtual audience members on Greenroom to join the conversation.
“When Spotify asked us to talk about what we love, we absolutely jumped,” says host Ronnie Karam in the announcement. “We’re thrilled to partner with Spotify on their new live audio Greenroom platform, and we can’t wait to see where the Take A Seat discussions will go. We could not be more excited to connect with our listeners on this new platform, and to grow Spotify’s audience,” he says.
Live is something that Watch What Crappens has been embracing in the past. Prior to the pandemic, Karam and co-host Ben Mandelker toured their show. And they plan to announce plans for their Crappens 2022 live tour on Sept. 20. In the meantime, the Greenroom appearances will fill the gap.
For their first Take A Seat program, Mandelker says he and Karam will pepper the discussion with three topics: the premiere of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and the trailers for Vanderpump Rules and Winter House. “There will be plenty else in the mix, including questions we’ll pose to the audience,” he says.
“Take A Seat” premieres tonight (Sept. 13) at 10pm ET.
