STATION SALES

Melbourne-Titusville-Cocoa, FL – Roger Holler’s MARC Radio Group has filed a $3.25 million deal to buy classic hits “98.5 The Beach” WSBH from Horizon Broadcasting Company. The dela includes a $250,000 promissory note. MARC Radio Group already owns stations in the Orlando and Gainesville-Ocala, FL markets, but WSBH becomes its first in the Melbourne-Titusville-Cocoa market.

Columbus, GA -- Augusta Radio Fellowship Institute has filed a $1.3 million deal to buy adult R&B “95.3 Smooth R&B” WRLD from PMB Broadcasting. WRLD is expected to flip to a religious format. Once the sale closes, PMB Broadcasting will still own country “Kissin 99.3” WKCN, AC “103.7 Lite FM” WLTC, CHR “Q-107.3” WCGQ, and adult R&B WRCG (1420) in the Columbus, GA market.

Madison, WI – Sage Weil and Michael Crute’s Civic Media has filed a $363,000 deal to buy talk WTTN (1580) from Craig Karmazin’s Good Karma Brands. The deal also includes the Madison, WI-licensed translator W244EG at 92.7 FM. Civic Media has been operating the station under a local marketing agreement since 2018. The purchase price will be discounted by the amount of LMA fees that have been paid since May 1, 2021. Despite its rapid growth in recent months, WTTN will be Civic Media’s only station in the Madison market.

Vermont – Elliott Morgan’s Mud Radio has filed a $30,000 deal to buy Americana “Mud Radio” WEXP, Brandon, VT (101.5) from Steve Cormier’s Woodchuck Radio. Morgan will operate the station under a local marketing agreement until closing.

Oregon – Educational Media Foundation has filed a $95,000 deal to buy adult alternative “Jive Radio” KJYV, The Dalles, OR (101.5) from Openskyradio Corp. EMF already owns The Dalles, OR-licensed translator K215CR at 90.9 FM in the area that airs its contemporary Christian “K-Love” format. EMF’s contemporary Christian “Air1” affiliate KZIR (88.7) also covers parts of the area. Broker: MCH Enterprises

Beaumont-Port Arthur, TX -- Darby Ventures has filed a $100 deal to buy regional Mexican “K-Alamo” KHTW (1300) from Carlos Lopez. Chip Darby does not own any other stations. Once the sale closes, Lopez will still own regional Mexican KQSA, Batesville, TX (97.9).

Iowa – Honey Creek Broadcasting has filed a one dollar deal to buy AC KGOG, Centerville, IA (1400) from Edwin Brand. The deal also includes the Centerville, IA-licensed translator K280GY at 103.9 FM. Brand is one-third owner of Honey Creek Broadcasting with partners Frederic and Carolyn Jenkins. Honey Creek already owns country KMGO, Centerville, IA (98.7) and KEDB, Chariton, IA (105.3).

CLOSINGS

California -- Amaturo Sonoma Media Group has closed a $6 million deal to buy AC KZST, Santa Rosa. CA (100.1) and classic hits “The Wolf 102.7” KWVF, Guerneville, GA from Redwood Empire Stereocasters. The deal also includes the Santa Rosa, CA-licensed translator K256DA at 99.1 FM. And the Petaluma, CA-licensed translator K273CU at 102.5 FM. Amaturo Sonoma Media Group already owns CHR “Hot 101.7” KHTH, country “Froggy 92.9” KFGY, classic rock “97.7 The River” KVRV, classic hits “107.9 K-Hits” and news-talk KSRO (1340) in the Santa Rosa market. Seller Redwood Empire Stereocasters still owns CHR “106.3 The Beat” KJZY and country “The Bull 93.7” KBBL in the area.

Hilton Head, SC & Savannah, GA -- Alpha Media has closed a $5 million deal to sell a half dozen stations in Coastal Carolina and Georgia to Dick Broadcasting. The stations include “Rock 106.1” WFXH-FM and regional Mexican “La Pantera” WHHW (1130) in Hilton Head, SC – as well as the Hilton Head, SC-licensed translator W241CV at 96.1 FM which simulcasts WHHW. And in the Savannah, GA market Alpha sells “New Country Bob 106.9” WUBB, CHR “Hot 98.3” WGCO, classic hip-hop “G-100” WXYY, and the stunting “Christmas 107.9” WRWN. Dick Broadcasting has operated the stations under a local marketing agreement since 2017. It also operates stations in the Myrtle Beach, SC and Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville, NC markets which it purchased from Alpha Media in 2018 for $14.5 million. Alpha Media still owns stations in 42 markets.

Tampa -- Norberto and Cristian Vallejo have closed an $850,000 deal to buy Spanish “Super Q” WQBN (1300) from Efrain Archilla Munoz’s Radio Tropical. Crisbeto Enterprises Corp. has been operating the station under a local marketing agreement since 2017. The filing says all LMA fees paid during the past five years will be applied toward the purchase price.

Seattle – Salem Media Group has closed a $500,000 deal to buy talk “AM 1300 The Answer” KKOL from Intelli. Salem earlier traded the station to Intelli in 2018 for what is now talk “860 The Answer” KPAM Portland in a cash-free deal. KKOL becomes the fourth station in Salem’s Seattle cluster joining religious teaching “820 The Word” KGNW, talk “1590 The Answer” KLFE and regional Mexican “La Patrona 1680” KNTS. Oklahoma – Great Plains Christian Radio has closed a $150,000 deal to buy CHR KZZW, Mooreland, OK (104.5) from Brooke Williams. Great Plains Christian Radio is expected to flip the signal to a contemporary Christian format relaying its flagship KJIL, Copeland, KS (99.1). Williams still owns country "K-101" KWOX and talk "Z-92" KMZE n Woodward, OK.
