New Mexico – Rich Hudson’s Global One Media has filed a $1.1 million deal to buy “K-Sell Country 105.9” KSEL-FM, classic rock “Big 101.5” KRMQ, hot AC “Mix 107.5” KSMX and “1450 Cow Country” KSEL in the Clovis, NM area from Rooney Moon Broadcasting. Global One Media currently owns three stations in the Elko, NV area. Broker: Doyle Hadden of Hadden & Associates

North Carolina – Todd Fowler’s Skyline Media of Forest City has filed a $250,000 deal to buy “True Oldies 1320” WAGY, Forest City, NC from Calvin Hasting’s KTC Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Forest City, NC-licensed translator W298CZ at 107.5 FM. The contract includes a $200,000 promissory note. Fowler is already an owner of country WBRM, Marion, NC (1250) in the area. Broker: Griffin Media Brokers

North Carolina -- Augusta Radio Fellowship Institute has filed a $130,000 deal to buy country “99.3 The Bull” WQDK, Gatesville, NC from Don Wendelken’s Icon Broadcasting. The sale is a quick turnaround for Icon Broadcasting which brought the station earlier this year for $160,000. And a year after JWH Broadcasting bought WQDK for $185,000 in April 2021.

Virginia -- Heart of Virginia Communications has filed a $75,000 deal to buy contemporary Christian “K-Love” affiliate WFLO, Farmville, VA (870) from Educational Media Foundation. Heart of Virginia Communications does not own any other stations. Once the sale closes, EMF will still own “K-Love” affiliate WFLO-FM (95.7) in Farmville, VA as well as three FMs in the nearly Richmond, VA market.

TRANSLATOR SALES

California – Louie Comella’s Ivox Radio has filed a $175,000 deal to buy the Cathedral City, CA-licensed translator K270AI at 101.9 FM from Educational Media Foundation. The signal currently airs EMF’s contemporary Christian “K-Love” format. After the sale it will still own “K-Love” outlet KLXB (105.1) and “Air1” affiliate KHCS (91.7) in the Palm Springs, CA market. Ivox Radio already owns two AMs in the Palm Springs market including KWXY (1340) which simulcasts on the Cathedral City, CA-licensed K222DA at 92.3 FM. And KKGX (920) which simulcasts on the Palm Springs, CA-licensed K256CU at 99.1 FM. Ivox says K270AM will rebroadcast KWXY once the sale closes. CLOSINGS

Ohio -- Brian and Patricia Lane’s Marquee Broadcasting has closed a $10.7 million deal to buy CHR “Z-92” WHIZ-FM, country “Highway 103.7” WZVL, talk “1240 AM The Voice” WHIZ and WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, OH from Southeastern Ohio Broadcasting System. The deal also includes the Zanesville, OH-licensed translator W272EE at 102.3 FM which simulcasts WHIZ-AM. As part of the deal, Marquee Will pay $100,000 per year to Southeastern Ohio Broadcasting System President Hank Littick under a two-year consulting and noncompete agreement. Marquee Broadcasting is mainly a TV operator with six stations in Maryland, Georgia, and Kentucky. The company’s sole radio station is ethnic WCRW Washington, DC (1190). Palm Springs, CA – Tom and Desire Hoyt’s Pure Radio closes a $375,000 deal to buy silent KPSF (1200) from CRC Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Cathedral City, CA-licensed translator K265FH at 100.9 FM. Once the sale is finalized, CRC Broadcasting will still own the silent KXPS (1010) in the Palm Springs market.

Spokane, WA -- 247 Media Ministries has closed a $225,000 deal to buy regional Mexican “Ke Buena” KYOZ (1330) from Xana HD Solutions. The deal also includes the Spokane, WA-licensed translator K239CL at 95.7 FM. Half of the purchase price will be cash at closing, with the other half a promissory note. 247 Ministries will flip KYOZ to a noncommercial religious station. Last month Xana HD Solutions struck a $600,000 deal to sell all of its other stations in Washington and Oregon. Broker: MCH Enterprises

Ohio -- Brian Walker and Leonard Dugger have closed a $50,000 deal to buy classic hits “Big Hits” WBTC, Uhrichsville, OH (1540) from Tuscarawas Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Uhrichsville, OH-licensed translator W270CI at 101.9 FM.
