STATION SALES

Norfolk, VA – Stuart and Nancy Epperson’s Delmarva Educational Association has filed a $10,000 deal to buy WKQA, (1110) from Booth-Cobb Media. Delmarva Educational Association will operate the station under a local marketing agreement until closing. It already owns three other stations in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach-Newport News market including religious “The Lighthouse” WPMH (1270), gospel “Praise” WTJZ (1650), and the currently-silent WHKT (1010).

New York – Family Life Ministries has filed a one dollar deal to buy the currently-silent WGWE, Little Valley, NY (105.9) from Paul Izard Communications. Izard turned in the license in April 2022 but has filed a petition of reconsideration of that decision requesting that the FCC reinstate the license in order to sell it to Family Life Ministries. If the FCC goes along, Family Life will operate WGWE under a local marketing agreement until closing.

CLOSINGS

Nevada -- Richard Hudson’s Global One Media has closed a $1 million deal to buy hot AC “Mix 96.7” KHIX, Carlin, NV; “Big Country 103.9” KBGZ, Spring Creek, NV; and classic hots “94.5 Kool FM” KUOL, Elko, NV from Ken Sutherland’s Ruby Radio. The deal also includes three FM translators including the Spring Creek, NV-licensed K263BD at 100.5 FM; the Elko, NV-licensed K266AB at 101.1 FM; and the Elko, NV-licensed K299AN at 107.7 FM. Hudson is a veteran broadcast who most recently spent 23 years at CBS Radio in Los Angeles. Broker: George Kimble, Kozacko Media Services

Dallas-Ft. Worth -- Charles Kim’s Pacific Star Media has closed a $450,000 deal to buy “Big D Talk” KBDT (1160) from Dan Patrick. Pacific Star Media does not own any other stations. Once the sale closes, Patrick will still own talk KSEV (700) in the Houston market. Patrick is the Lieutenant Governor of Texas.

Myrtle Beach, SC -- Steven Lara’s Gorilla Broadcasting has closed a $400,000 deal to buy regional Mexican “El Gallo” WNMB (900) from Jeff Andrulonis’ Colonial Radio Group. The deal also includes three translators: the Myrtle Beach, SC-licensed W272CV at 102.3 FM; the Myrtle Beach, SC-licensed W255BZ at 98.9 FM; and the North Myrtle Beach, SC-licensed W279EH at 103.7 FM. The contract lists a $300,000 promissory note. Lara already owns “El Gallo 94.3” WLEL, Ellaville, GA. Broker: Kozacko Media Services

Nebraska -- Michael and Kimberly Burge have closed a $374,626 deal to buy AC KVSH, Valentine, NE (940) from Dave and Deborah Otradovsky’s Heart City Radio Company. Michael and Kimberly Burge do not own any other stations.

Ohio -- Lauren International has closed a $300,000 deal to buy AC WJER, Dover-New Philadelphia, OH (1450) from Zach Petricola. The deal includes the Dover-New Philadelphia, OH-licensed translator W265DL at 100.9 FM.

Colorado -- Gary and Robin Reed’s Thunder Media has closed a $275,000 deal to buy “Thunder Country 92.1” KTHN and oldies “Lightning AM 1400” KBLJ in La Junta, CO from Aaron Leiker’s 25-7 Media. The deal also includes the La Junta, CO-licensed translator K282BX at 104.3 FM which simulcasts KBLJ. 25-7 Media still owns an AM/FM combo in Lamar, CO.

Texas ---- David Rowell’s Bay and Beyond Broadcasting has closed a $360,000 deal to buy “96 Country” KIOX, Edna, TX from Mark Porter’s Globecom Media. The deal includes a $125,000 promissory note. It has also closed a separate $240,000 deal to buy classic hits “Happy Radio 92.5” KKHA, Markham, TX from Globecom Media. The deal includes an $80,000 promissory note. . Broker: Hadden & Assoc.

Indiana -- George and Della Mammarella have closed a $149,270 deal to buy hot AC “K-99.3” WKVI-FM, Knox, IN; classic hits “Max 98.3” WYMR, Culver, IN; and “All News AM 1520” WKVI, Knox, IN from Kankakee Valley Broadcasting Co.

Louisiana -- Holland Broadcasting has closed a $135,000 deal to buy AC “Mix 96.7” KWCL-FM, Oak Grove, LA from Irene Robinson. Holland Broadcasting does not own any other stations.

Michigan -- Ed and Jennifer Czelada’s Smile FM has closed a $95,000 deal to buy “Classic Hit Country 105.5” WBMI, West Branch, MI from Peggy Warner. Smile FM will flip the format to its noncommercial religious contemporary Christian format.

Oklahoma -- Mark Harcourt and Thane Conriocht’s Running Wolf Radio has closed a $50,000 deal to buy contemporary Christian “97.5 The Quake” KPAK, Alva, OK from George Flinn. The deal includes a $45,000 promissory note.

Colorado & New Mexico -- Voice Ministries of Farmington has closed a deal to donate two stations to Native American Christian Voice. The transfer includes contemporary Christian “95.7 The Passion” KPCL, Farmington, NM and its sister translator the Aztec, NM-licensed K280FL at 103.9 FM. Voice Ministries is also donating contemporary Christian “107.1 Superstation” KLJH, Bayfield, CO and its sister translator the Mancos, CO-licensed K300BN at 107.1 FM to Native American Christian Voice. Voice Ministries still owns religious “91.7 The Word” KTGW, Fruitland, NM.

Kansas & Missouri – Michael Landis has closed a deal to swap “Fox Sports Radio 1340” KSEK, Pittsburg, KS and the Pittsburg, KS-licensed translator K300DE at 107.9 FM to William Wachter’s My Town Media. In exchange, My Town Media will transfer country “My Country 107.1” KHST, Lamar, MO to Landis. No cash will change hands as part of the deal.
