Nashville — Nashville Public Radio has filed a deal to spinoff WPLN (1430) to Kensington Digital Media for $1.3 million. It already owns classic hits “Hippie Radio 94.5” WHPY and adult hits WHIN (1010) and its simulcast on the Gallatin, TN-licensed W264CR translator at 100.7 FM. Once the sale closes, Nashville Public Radio will still own news-talk WPLN-FM (90.3) and adult alternative WNXP (91.1) in the market. Broker: Guest Technology

Mississippi – Heathcock Communications has filed a $300,000 deal to buy adult hits “Waybo Radio’ WABO-FM & AM (105.5, 990) in Waynesboro, MS from Martin Broadcasting. James Heathcock has operated the stations under a time brokerage agreement since June 2019.

Washington – Rodney and Matthew Etherton’s Premier Broadcasters has filed a $250,000 deal to buy KVNW, Napavine, WA from Threshold Communications. KVNW is a construction permit that Threshold won in 2011’s Auction 91 for a new FM in Clatskanie, OR. It followed up with an application to change the community of license to Napavine. Premier objected to the move, but in 2017 the FCC sided with Threshold. Premier already owns hot AC “Live 95” KITI-FM and oldies KITI (1420) in the area.


Pennsylvania -- Lightner Communications has filed a $55,000 deal to buy the Johnstown, PA-licensed translator W267CM at 101.3 FM from Zip2. Lightner Communications will relocate the signal to simulcast adult hits “Jack FM” WYUP, Loretto, PA (1400). It already relays on the Altoona, PA-licensed W296ED at 107.1 FM.

Kansas – The Praise Network has filed a $2,500 deal to buy the Sharon Springs, KS-licensed translator K214AU at 90.7 FM form Great Plains Christina Radio. The Praise Network will simulcast religious KZCK, Colby, KS (88.1) on the translator.


Minneapolis-St. Paul – Carpenter Broadcasting has closed a $2.2 million deal to buy classic country “Bob FM” KLCI/KBGY (106.1/107.5), and oldies “Big Q Radio” WLKX/WQPM (95.9/1300) from the D.M. Peters Family Trust. The deal also includes the Big Lake, MN-licensed translator W298CE at 107.5 FM. Father and son Dennis and Lucas Carpenter still have a pending $55,000 deal to buy adult alternative “95.3 The Otter FM” WFNX, Grand Marais, MN from Matt Butler’s Shire & Shore Communications. They recent closed a $3,000 deal to buy WZBY, Grand Portage, MN (92.7) from Multi-Cultural Diversity Radio.

North Carolina -- Augusta Radio Fellowship Institute has closed a $130,000 deal to buy country “99.3 The Bull” WQDK, Gatesville, NC from Don Wendelken’s Icon Broadcasting. The sale is a quick turnaround for Icon Broadcasting which brought the station earlier this year for $160,000. And a year after JWH Broadcasting bought WQDK for $185,000 in April 2021.

Florida – Gold Standard Broadcasting has closed a $20,000 deal to buy the currently-silent WVLQ, Port St. Joe, FL (101.9) from Karen Neal. Gold Standard Broadcasting also owns sports “104.3 ESPN Panama City” WGSX in the nearby Panama City, FL market.
