LA's Afternoon News 375

“LA’s Afternoon News” will debut on Audacy news KNX-AM/FM Los Angeles (1070/97.1) on Monday, Jan. 30. The new drive-time program (2-7pm) features Rob Archer who joins current afternoon co-anchor Karen Adams and traffic and breaking news reporter Brian Douglas.

Archer, who had been co-hosting “KNX In Depth” (1-2pm) with Charles Feldman, succeeds Mike Simpson, who segued to mornings in October 2022, following the retirement of Dick Helton. Feldman, who also serves as Senior Content Director, will contribute live interviews and reporting throughout “LA’s Afternoon News” while continuing to host “In Depth.”

“Rob, Karen, Brian, and Charles are the perfect team to take afternoons on KNX News to the next level in 2023 and beyond,” Regional President Jeff Federman said in a release. “They bring enormous reporting experience, perspective, and humanity to the news that impacts our lives every day.”

Archer has been with the station since 2015 and previously anchored weekend morning news. Adams has been heard in afternoons at KNX since 2019, after joining the station in 2017 as a street reporter. Douglas joined the station in 2016 covering traffic as both an anchor and airborne reporter.
