Leveraging its access to artists and ability to provide one-of-a-kind experiences, iHeartMedia has circled June 1 on the calendar for its first ever Access Day. The 24-hour broadcast radio takeover event across its 860 radio stations will give listeners a shot at winning hundreds of prizes such as concert tickets, giveaways, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to meet some of the biggest artists touring this summer and mingle with iHeart’s top air personalities. More than just a day of giving prize giveaways, the company plans to use Access Day to show brands its ability “to reach all Americans, everywhere.”
"Access Day is more than a celebration of radio, it’s a showcase of how iHeartMedia – the ultimate access company – can break down the walls between creators, fans and brands in a way no one else can,” Greg Ashlock, CEO of iHeartMedia Multiplatform Group, said in a release. “We give consumers unmatched access to the most amazing content, experiences and talent, and this Access Day we’re going all-in across 860 live broadcast stations in 160 markets across America.”
Among the artist experiences to be given away are ones involving Beck & Phoenix, Dierks Bentley, Big Time Rush, P!NK, Charlie Puth, Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire and LL Cool J. Experiences with air talent and podcast hosts are also part of the prize package, including Bobby Bones, Steve Covino & Rich Davis, Colin Cowherd, Elvis Duran, Mario Lopez, Dan Patrick, DJ Envy, Enrique Santos, Tyler Florence and Wells Adams, and Angela Yee.
All in, iHeart says Access Day will offer listeners nationwide more than 700 deals and experiences including all-expense-paid VIP trips and front row access to festivals and shows such as the Hot Summer Nights Tour with TLC & Shaggy and special guests En Vogue & Sean Kingston, and the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Festival hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
Discounts and promotions from participating brands will also be offered from Daily Harvest, Gametime, Legacybox, Live Nation, Swiffer, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Temu, Wayfair and others.
