Jim Lago, the former longtime morning host at iHeartMedia talk KKTX Corpus Christi (1390) passed away Wednesday night (March 15). Lago retired from radio in 2019 at the age of 74, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports. His daughter told the publication that Lago was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.
“We are saddened by the loss of our long-time morning show host, colleague, friend, and mentor, Jim Lago,” KKTX posted on Facebook. “He loved discussing the issues of the day in Corpus Christi, he loved baseball – especially the Hooks – and he loved his listeners.”
