Author and motivational speaker Mel Robbins already has a big voice in audio, having produced a half dozen No. 1 Audible Originals productions, and selling over a million copies of her self-published audiobooks “The 5 Second Rule” and “The High 5 Habit.” And her TED talk is among the most-viewed. Now she is expanding her audio reach with a new podcast. The Mel Robbins Podcast will arrive next month, Robbins has inked a deal with SiriusXM to handle ad sales and distribution of the series.
“My mission with The Mel Robbins Podcast is simple -- to inspire, motivate and empower you to create a better life,” says Robbins. “I am excited to connect with you, learn with you, cheer for you, and invite you into my life every week in a deeply personal way.”
Beginning October 6, new episodes of The Mel Robbins Podcast will be released every Monday and Thursday. Robbins will also release longer, uncut versions of each episode on her YouTube channel, which has 1.45 million subscribers. The show is being produced by Robbins’ female-led media company, 143 Studios, which says the podcast will feature her signature blend of storytelling and research-backed advice. “Every episode is packed with deeply relatable topics, science-backed tools, hilarious screwups, compelling conversations, and the takeaways and inspiration listeners need to create a better life,” said an announcement about the new podcast.
Under the multiyear deal SXM Media, the combined advertising sales group from Sirius XM Holdings, has the exclusive global ad sales rights for The Mel Robbins Podcast. Its Stitcher will handle distribution.
“I’ve been thinking about launching a podcast for seven years, and the moment is finally here,” said Robbins in the show’s preview. “I am 53 years old, and I am living proofing that any single day that you decide to call to have what I can a ‘wake up moment’ and deicide you want to try something new in your life, you can. There is no timeline for these things.”
The podcast is executive produced by 143 Studios’ Andrea Puckett and Stitcher’s Josephine Martorana. The show's music and sound design is by Brendan Byrnes.
“Mel Robbins has already changed the lives of millions of people throughout her impressive career in audio,” said Martorana. “We know Mel will move, motivate, and inspire listeners into action to make their lives more meaningful, and we're excited for them to hear it.”
